I am in the process of entering the information from my pension plan into TurboTax. This plan was not an IRA or 401K but once finished entering the numbers I am asked if this was an RMD as I am required to take an RMD after the age of 71 1/2. I already entered the information for my 401K/IRA and I did take the RMD. Not sure, why I am asked that question for the pension plan from my employer. The money was paid monthly and both, Federal and State tax was deducted.
Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Pension income is all an RMD if you are over age 70 1/2. So just answer Yes it was an RMD and All the income received was an RMD.
Thank you so much! 🙂
