On my 1099 r ,#7 distribution code is 2b , what do i select? I did 2 from the first drop down and b from the second dropdown. i get an error on the review.

The only reason you would get an error complaining about the distribution code after selecting codes 2 and B in the two drop-down boxes is if you mistakenly marked the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box. If that's not the cause, delete and reenter the Form 1099-R.
