There are a variety of 1099 forms: 1099-R for distributions from retirement plans, 1099-MISC for non-employee compensation (i.e., a contractor), 1099-SA for distributions from an HSA, 1099-INT for interest, and so on.
However, there is no requirement that every taxpayer have any of these forms.
The reminder is there simply to make sure that you collected all the tax forms that you received in the mail and also contacted any companies who should have sent you a 1099-something but didn't, before you file your return.
If you didn't receive any 1099 forms and don't expect to, then you can go ahead and file.
