My 1099-R Box 9a is blank, but entry screen requires a minimum value of 0.01. How can I proceed?

This appears to be a software error. Does anyone know a way around it?

To clarify, was this a total distribution? (That would be indicated in Box 2b)

If this was a total distribution and only you were involved, enter 100.

No, it's an ongoing lifetime periodic pension distribution.  Box 9a is labeled Your percentage of total distribution., and is blank, yet the software error message says requires a minimum value of 0.01.

If this was imported, delete and enter manually.

Otherwise enter anything, the question shouldn't even be asked.

To Delete:

For TurboTax Desktop, switch to Forms (Upper right corner)

TurboTax Online:

Select Tax Tools on the left side-bar

Select Tools from that drop-down

Select “Delete a form” on the TOOLS CENTER screen

Select the Form 1099-R you wish to remove and Delete
