MO Retirement e-filing issue

State e-file rejected due to an issue with Form MO-A, Section D, Total Pension and Social Security/Social Security Disability. Error says it is a problem with TurboTax and will be updated on Feb 6, 2024. It is 2025, almost a full year past that product release date. How do I fix this error?

The issue has been resolved and you should be able to proceed now.

If you are using the desktop product, make sure your program is updated.  This can be done by logging into your desktop product.  Select Online in the menu on the top, and then select Check for Updates.

MO Retirement e-filing issue

So, I have a couple questions on this issue.  Was TurboTax at fault for the incorrect formula on the MO-A worksheet, or was the MO Department of Revenue the root of the situation?    Also, I filed MO return on the date MO opened up filing, TurboTax said all was fine, and was very (pleasantly) surprised yesterday when my refund was much higher than what I had filed.  But, why didn't TurboTax give me any heads-up on the issue and that they had refiled or corrected my return?  I knew nothing of this until the refund amount showed up.  Thanks.

At this point, it is difficult to determine who is at fault for the incorrect formula being applied. Your return was filed and accepted by the State of Missouri and any adjustments made, after the filing date, by the State of Missouri was corrected to a satisfactory outcome.

When Turbo Tax submits a return to the state and it has been accepted by the state, it doesn't correct or refile the return because from that point on, the return is the state's responsibility. If the return was rejected by MO, then the issue would have surfaced and Turbo Tax would have given you a heads-up on the issue.
