Military 1099R

We do not pay state taxes; however, our military pay is taxed via turbo tax when it’s entered. There’s nothing in box 14 or thereafter. I try to fix it on the state side but it is wiped out and I’m told it’s a duplicate. We have CS1099R and a 1099R DFAS pension.

When yo enter information from your 1099R in the federal interview, enter it as a Federal Retirement benefit. This isn't entirely accurate but this is the best choice to be made and this shouldn't raise any red flags with the LA Dept of Revenue.
