Message says my social security number is not valid for employment, but it is the one I've used my entire career. Why is this marked thus way.

If so.....edit your name again in the personal info section of the software...maybe you hurried thru and mismarked it there as being Not Valid For Employment there. 

There is a checkbox there that about that, that YOU set when you edit your name and age and SSN.

What is "it" that says your Social Security number is not valid for employment? Where did the message come from that says that? Does your Social Security card say "not valid for employment"? If your Social Security card doesn't say that, it's probably not true.

If you are getting a message in TurboTax saying that your Social Security number is not valid for employment, you might have accidentally checked the box that says it's not valid for employment. Go back through your personal information under My Info and review the screens carefully. Look for the checkbox on the screen where you enter your Social Security number.
