IRA Withdrawal and HRA accounts

HRA - You do not need to report anything on your tax return with regard to your HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement). The account is funded by your employer so there isn't anything for you to deduct. You won't pay taxes on the disbursements either.

IRA - You will receive a 1099-R for any disbursement from this account. It is important to wait until you receive the form because the IRS will also receive a copy to match. Follow the steps below to enter in TurboTax.

  • Select My Account in your open return
  • Select Tools
  • Topic Search
  • Type 1099-R in the search box, then select GO
