I am not getting the question to "moved the money, choose I rolled over some or all of it to an IRA or other retirement account within the time limits" when filling out form 1099-R.
I entered box 1, box 2a, 2b Taxable amount not determined is checked. Distribution code is 7 and IRA/SE/SIMPLE box is checked. Then I got this questions below. I choose 'None of these apply' then got to a next page asking about Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and I never got the question about what I do with the money or rolled over some into IRA. Please show me the steps.
I took out this money due to a qualified disaster
I inherited this IRA
This is for a SIMPLE IRA within the first two years of participation only
This is for a SIMPLE IRA with more than two years of participation
This is for a SEP IRA
I moved some or all of this money to my HSA as a one-time contribution
I transferred all or part of this money directly to charity
I need to file a substitute 1099-R
The corrected box is checked on this 1099-R
None of these apply

RMDs are not eligible for rollover. Because you told TurboTax that the distribution was all RMD, TurboTax knows not to ask any questions regarding rollovers. If the distribution was more than your RMD and you rolled over only the amount in excess of your RMD, go back and correct the amount that you told TurboTax was required to be distributed to satisfy your RMD.
Despite how the custodian might record the deposit, the deposit of an RMD into an IRA constitutes an ordinary IRA contribution, not a rollover, so if you deposited any portion of your RMD into an IRA you must enter that portion into TurboTax under Deductions & Credits as an IRA contribution. Any amount deposited as an ordinary contribution in excess of the amount that you are eligible to contribute for the year is an excess contribution that is subject to penalty unless corrected by requesting that the custodian make an explicit return of the excess contribution by the due date of your tax return, including extensions.
I don't know. But did you take the RMD? You can't roll over anything until you take out the RMD. @dmertz
Yes. I took some money out for the RMD but the bank deposited everything into my bank account then later in the same day I moved it into IRA account. I don't know how to report this. I'm not getting the page to say that I moved some money back into IRA.
Thank you

Thank you!
Due to a mixup between Fidelity and Fisher Investments, the RMD was distributed into my checking account twice. The over-distribution was returned to Fidelity within 60 days. Nowhere am I led to a screen which allows me to input the amount that was repaid.
