If the IRS offer to postpone taking some of your Required Minimum Distribution was accepted does each person have to request an individual waiver?

The RMDs have been waived for tax year 2020.

Please read this IRS document for more information.

No individual waiver is required. There is no reporting requirement for the RMD in 2020. There is no penalty.
