If I worked all of 2018 and retired as of 2/28/2019. Can I still contribute to an IRA to reduce tax due on 2018 Federal return

Yes, you can still contribute to your IRA. Traditional IRA, as well as Roth IRA contributions, must be made by the April tax deadline of April 15, so the due date for taxes and IRA contributions for 2019 is April 15, 2020.

Yes, you can still contribute to your IRA. Traditional IRA, as well as Roth IRA contributions, must be made by the April tax deadline of April 15, so the due date for taxes and IRA contributions for 2019 is April 15, 2020.
