I was laid off and took 5k from 401/roth. They wrote distribution check in 2023 but I did not cash it until 2024. Will I get 1099? My online form says not available

I called company amd they said if I was getting 1099 it would be uploaded to my account by Jan 31 since I am enrolled in paperless. It still isnt available today and they said they are unsure

The distribution date does not depend on when you deposit the check.  If they processed the distribution in 2023, they are required to provide you with a 2023 From 1099-R.
