1. If you are running TurboTax with the CD/download on a Mac platform, there is no Search - you will need to find SEP IRA Contributions in the Topics List.
2. When you enter sep ira contributions in the Search on the other platforms, do it in lower case. One platform is case sensitive (I forget which) but lower case works on all platforms.
3. When you do the Search, type in sep ira contributions and just hit Enter. Ignore all the suggested search terms.
When you do step #3, when you hit Enter, you should see the Jump to link.
I'm just using the online platform. It didn't matter if I typed it in lower case or upper case, the Jump To link never showed up. I finally requested TurboTax to call me, and while I was screen sharing with the associate, she had me do the exact same thing I already did a couple dozen times, and the Jump To link showed up. I've since tried it a few more times just to see what would happen, and sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't. It must be a glitch in their system.
So you're saying that in the Search field, you typed in sep ira contributions, hit Enter (and nothing else), and the jump-to link did not show up? Well, that's the right thing to do it...in a way, I am glad that it works for you sometimes so that you know that it's possible, but I don't know what to say about the other times. For me, all the times it failed is because I misspelled something (it is not at all forgiving) or added a space somewhere or made contributions singular or reflexively clicked on one of the suggested search terms or otherwise did something other than the two steps above.
Hopefully, while you were at the jump-to link, you got your data entry done.
