- Log into your account and continue
(if not already there).
- Click on Federal Taxes.
- Click on Wages and Income.
- Click on I'll choose what I work on
(if shown).
- Scroll down to Retirement Plans
and Social Security.
- Click on down arrow to Show more (if
it does not already show a list).
- On Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099),
click the Start or update button.
- Answer the Step-by-step
instructions.
To enter your pension and annuity payments (1099-R):
- Log into your account and continue
(if not already there).
- Click on Federal Taxes.
- Click on Wages and Income.
- Click on I'll choose what I work on
(if shown).
- Scroll down to Retirement Plans
and Social Security.
- Click on down arrow to Show more
(if it does not already show a list).
- On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan
Withdrawals (1099-R), click the Start or update button.
