I need to add a 1099-R as second w-2

Ive submitted one w-2 and when I try to add 2nd w-2 which is a 1099-r it shows regular w-2 boxes to fill

When you say submitted, do you mean you efiled your tax return with one W-2? If so, you must prepare, print and mail and amended tax return form 1040X to add the other income.

A 1099-R is not entered where a W-2 is entered. It is a totally different form. Use the search function. Type 1099-R in the search box and click on jump to 1099-R. Enter it and answer all the follow up questions. Make sure you delete anything you tried to enter as a W-2 in the W-2 section.

no I haven't filed yet, I am preparing my taxes. I entered one w-2 and trying to enter my 2nd income. so I click done and later I will enter this 1099_R?

Just make sure you delete anything in the W-2 section that was entered from your 1099-R.
