What is the error message?
I am receiving an error message that states Forms 1099R Summary Line 26d - Spouse plus line 28c minus Spouse should not be greater than $3,000. I changed the number that I input for health insurance paid to $3,000 but the number on line 26d is not changing from $5,000. $5,000 is the correct number.
The interview question for he 1099-R asks about money from your pension that your plan administrator took from your pension and directly paid the insurance company. If not the case you will need to select "no" when asked if insurance premiums were taken out of your pension.
If however that is the case try this.
Go back into the 1099-R Pension topic and delete the 1099-R that comes from Public Safety Officer. Re-enter the information from the 1099-R form you have. When you get to questions about Public Safety Officer pension select yes and then when asked about the insurance premiums directly paid put in only $3000.
I accidentally misspelled my last name , but already filed the taxes on turbo tax , how can I correct my last name now that my information is submitted?? Send me info to my email : [email address removed] please @DMarkM1
If your e-filed return is rejected, you'll have the opportunity to correct your last name.
If the return is accepted, no correction is necessary, and you don't need to worry about it.
The IRS only uses the first few characters of your last name to cross-match with your Social Security Number, thereby verifying your identity.
If your return is rejected, please see the TurboTax Help article “How do I fix a rejected return?” for guidance.
TurboTax won’t accept zip code on my 1099
Double check your zip code entry and the state for the address of the payer shown on your Form 1099-R. An incorrect state can cause a mismatch error.
