Enter them all individually.
First, make sure they are not extra copies of the same 1099-R (Distribution). If you have more than one of the SAME 1099-R reflecting the SAME distribution, you will need to only enter one. Just use the steps below (except for the last step).
If you have multiple 1099-R's for Multiple distributions than just follow the steps below.
have pension of $6,092.40
and pension of $1,699.92
Where do these get posted??????
Where I was not directed to add these??
They should show up on 1040 line 5a and 5b. Did you find where to enter them yet? Enter them one at a time.
The easiest way to get to the 1099-R entry screen is to simply search for 1099-R (upper- or lower-case, with or without the dash) in your TurboTax program and then click the "Jump to" link in the search results.
Enter a 1099R under
Federal Taxes on the left side
Wages & Income at the top
Then scroll way down to Retirement Plans and Social Security,
Then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plans (1099R) - click Start or Revisit
If you are filing a Joint return be sure to pick which person it is for.
Or have you already filed without them?
Yes, go to the Search at the top and enter Form 1099R in the search box. You should get a Jump To function to take you to the 1099R entry screens.
Make sure and enter all the 1099R data focusing on the Box 7 code. This will determine where the income will flow in TurboTax. Since this is pension income, it should be a 7 for normal distribution.
