I have a 1099r federal retirement and you are asking me how much of that annunity was an RMD? Non that I know of but don't want that answer.

That question is not relevant to your situation. Just answer that all of it was RMD to make the computer happy and continue with your return.

Most have this issue when they incorrectly identify the withdrawal as coming from a qualified plan. This occurs most often when the user does not read the examples provided for both a qualified plan, and an unqualified plan. I know my military retirement is from a non-qualified plan. Therefore I am not asked anything about an RMD.
