I have a 1099-R for my wife instead of a W-2. My wife, Fredia Looney, is a retired teacher from Kentucky. Her system sent a 1099-R form instead of a W-2 like mine. The numbers on the 1099-R do not match up with the W-2 numbers on the screen.

You will not add the 1099R as a W2.

You can go directly to Form 1099R by following these steps:

1. Sign into your account and select your current return

2. Select My Account in the top Right

3. Select Topic Search (see attached image)

4. Search for 1099R and select Go

This will take you to the interview process for this form.
