I don’t have a 1099-r
Form 1099-R must be sent out to you by January 31st, so you should receive it in the next couple of weeks. Most financial institutions have the form available on their website so you may find it there.
If for some reason you are unable to get the Form 1099-R from your Financial Institution, you can follow these instructions to enter the information without it:
- Login to your TurboTax Account
- Click "Federal Taxes" from the left side of your screen
- Click on the "Wages and Income" tab at the top of your screen
- Scroll down and click on "Retirement Plans and Social Security"
- Click "Start" next to "IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)"
- Click "Continue" then "I'll Type It In Myself"
- Click "I Need to Prepare a Substitute 1099-R"
