I cannot move forward from the Retirement and Pension Benefits section. They want a source of income and I cannot choose the options they give. It's not a pension.

What type of retirement benefits is my 401k distribution?

Just choose the standard, plain old 1099-R

Don't know what the Online software asks, but the desktop version has text that indicates the standard 1099-R is for "money from 401(k) retirement plans, pensions, IRAs, etc."

....as it should.

But not US Govt pensions from OPM (except TSP accounts), nor RR Retirements or Social Security, which are different forms.
