I am on social security and do not owe taxes do I still have to file?
If you only get ssi or SS or SSDI or SSA-1099 it is not taxable and you do not have to file a return. Oh, but you do need to file if you get a 1095A for having Marketplace health ins. Or if you are married and your spouse has other income.
