How do you answer the RMD question for a monthly pension distribution?
When you get a monthly pension payment after retirement, is this considered an RMD? It's not an RMD in the same sense as an annual calculated distribution from an IRA, but if I answer the RMD question as "no" I don't want to trigger a penalty calculation.

How do you answer the RMD question for a monthly pension distribution?
Technically, a monthly pension payment is considered a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and the entire amount is an RMD. That is how you need to answer the questions.
