How do I report on my taxes that I recontributed my withdrawal from my IRA?

If you returned the withdrawal within 60 days then this is a rollover

Please follow these steps in TurboTax Desktop:

  1. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “1099-R”
  2. Click on “Jump to 1099-R”
  3. Enter your Form 1099-R
  4. Continue "What did you do with this money from this payer?" and select "I moved the money to another retirement account (or returned it to the same account)
  5. Then select “I did a combination of rolling over, converting, or cashing out money.” and enter the amount rolled over (returned to IRA) next to "Amount rolled over to another (or back to the same) retirement account
  6. Continue answering the questions.
