A 1099 form for an IRA withdrawal does not come from the IRS. If you took money out of your IRA, the custodian or trustee of the IRA sends you a Form 1099-R. If you took money out of an IRA in 2022, you should have gotten the 1099-R by the end of this past January, 2023. If you didn't get it, contact the custodian or trustee and find out how you can get the 1099-R. You might be able to access it online. If you can't get it right away, you should file an extension for your 2022 tax return.
Did you actually take the money out of the IRA? If you did a trustee-to-trustee transfer to another IRA, you will not get a 1099-R and you do not report the transfer on your tax return.
The IRS does not send the 1099-R, it will come from your retirement company. You may be able to check online or call them. If you took the distribution in calendar year 2023, you will receive it next year.
your custodian supplies your 1099-R
are you removing excess contribution for 2022?
If no, you will report 2023 withdrawal on your 2023 tax return.
