To list SSDI income in TurboTax, enter the information from your Form SSA-1099 in the "Wages & Income" section sing the steps listed below:
You can get to the screens in TurboTax to enter your Form SSA-1099 as follows:
- Click on "Search" at the top right of your TurboTax screen
- Type "Form 1099-SSA" in the search bar
- Click on the link that says "Jump to Form SSA-1099"
- Your screen will say, "Tell me about the benefits you received"
- Your screen will ask Did you receive Social Security or RRB in 2025? Answer yes.
- Your next screen will say Tell us about the benefits you received. Check the SSA-1099 box
- Enter your information into the appropriate bioxes and Continue
- Continue through all of the follow-up screens and answer all questions regarding your SSDI.
