Are you asking how to tell the amount of your retirement income which was taxable? Look on lines 4a and 4b of your Form 1040.

If you mean something else, post back.
If by "retirement deferral" you mean the contributions that your employer withheld from your pay, then it will not be found anywhere on your tax return. It would only be reported in box 12 on your W-2 and nowhere else.
(That box 12 amount is used by TurboTax to determine if there were excess contributions and if you qualified for the "savers credit", but other that that it does not appear on a tax return.)
