How do I enter a 403b distribution, which I received as part of a life insurance death payment? I have a 1099-R but Turbo Tax keeps treating it like an IRA.

Make sure that the IRA box is not check and that on one of the next screens when it again asks about the IRA box needing to be checked, that you answer no.
