Find the threshold to indicate if I need to file taxes. Not only the $13,850 (over 65 for 2019) but also the amount if I take 50% of social security plus income?

There are 2 ways to calculate if I need to file taxes.  One is earn over $13,805 (over 65) the other is to take 50% of SS and add income.  If over $25,000 (single) I will have to file taxes.  I need this info for 2016 and 2017?

See IRS pub 501 for who must file a tax return based on income and circumstances.

Your second method is not on the list there.
