Filing Jointly, My Wife gets SSA

We file a joint return.  I am still working, but my wife receives SSA benefits.  Do we need to list our SSA payments on the joint account?  If I complete the form on the back of the SSA form, it states her income doesn't require any taxes need to be paid.

Thanks

Yes, you have to include your wife's Social Security benefits, and yours if you also get Social Security. On a joint return you must include all the income for both of you.

The worksheet on the back of Form SSA-1099 says "If you plan to file a joint income tax return, include your spouse's amounts, if any, on lines A, C, and D." (You're the spouse.) Did you do that?

And if you are thinking about filing  Separately, don't. There are rules in place that will make some of her Social Security taxable anyway.
