Try waiting until Fidelity says your forms are complete and final, then import them? That is what I am doing after March 11 when it says my forms will be available for download. .
Forms that are available for download to your computer are not the same forms that are imported using the 'import' function, and those forms may not yet be available.
If you're using TurboTax Online, you can upload a PDF copy of your 1099-B into the program by choosing 'Sales Section' in the interview.
When attempting to import into TurboTax Desktop, make sure you have a good connection by choosing 'Allow' in the LAN settings (icon to the left of URL address in browser), have disabled your anti-virus programs, and have 'third party access' enabled in your broker account settings.
Remember that the IRS already has copies of all your 1099's so entering a Category Summary Total of your transactions is sufficient for your tax return.
I have an issue too. Here is the screenshot. I have cleared all browser settings and have received this message multiple times. And the date says October 2026 for a fix?
Where did you find the March 11th date for 1099-R download files to be available? Fidelity only tells me the download may lag the viewable documents on the website.
My 1099-R was available since Jan. 11th. It is the 1099- Div, Int, etc that will only be available after March 16th
Today is March 13....I can't get Fidelity 1099's into Turbotax at all. I will have to enter them by hand or attach them as a file. (7 separate times of course. Just great because I have 7 of them this year. Every year Turbo Tax makes hoops to jump through....but the one hoop of fire you really need to avoid is their fraud wheel of getting you to pay for the most expensive "Turbo Tax" there is. Along with the bonus upgrade of $89 to cover you in case of a audit. lol
