Entering 1099-G

I received a 1099-G for last years tax refund. When I go to enter the info, there's not an option to select for tax refund. My options are: Taxable Grant, Agricultural program payment, Market gain on CCC loans, Reemployment trade adjustment assistance payment (RTAA) payment, or Business or farm tax refund. What do I do?

Entering 1099-G

You would enter the State refund information reported on the 1099-G, in TurboTax, by doing the following:

  • Log in to your TurboTax Online account, or open your TurboTax CD/Download program
  • Click to Continue your return/Take me to my return
  • Click on Federal Taxes (choose the option: I'll choose what I work on, if offered)
  • Click on Wages & Income
  • Locate  Other Common Income , and click to Show More
  • Locate Refunds Received for State/Local Tax Returns  and click Start or Edit
