Does non taxable contributions to 401K plan provided by employer need to be reported?

My 401K retirement plan is through my employer, the money that is contributed to it, by me, is done before taxes. Do I still have to report this on my return? If so, how do I report it without it showing it is taxable money?

The money you have deferred from your wages is deducted before calculating Box 1 wages on your W2 so you are not taxed on it until you withdraw it.

Your employer's contribution is also not taxable until you take a distribution.

You don't report either amount on your tax return.
