Does 2020 TurboTax Online have the same Form 8606 bug?

I have tried the workaround at https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/where-do-i-find-form-8606/00/25713 and it does not seem to work.

Even if it did work, I would not be convinced that 2020 TurboTax Deluxe Desktop would be properly filling out form 8606, form 5329, and form 1040.

Are you using TurboTax 2020 Online or TurboTax 2021 Online.  If you are using 2020 then you must use Desktop/CD to file your 2020 return. If you are using 2021 then make sure you have ran all updates. If you have done so and it is still not working you can access customer care by clicking here.

Yes, you understand correctly - TurboTax Online is no longer available for 2020 tax returns.  You cannot use TurboTax Online to file for past years. TurboTax Online is only for the current tax year, which is now 2021. To file for previous years you have to use the CD or download TurboTax software for the year or years that you need. I own 2020 TurboTax Deluxe Desktop.

My wife and I took early total distributions of our Roth IRAs for a first-time home purchase and to pay some of our medical bills and I am having problems populating Forms 8606, 5329, and 1040.

I have tried the workaround at https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/where-do-i-find-form-8606/00/25713 and it does not seem to work.

I do not know how to proceed given what appears to be a bug.
