Do I need to include copies of SSA-1099 with my return

If you e-filing, your tax return you don't need to send any documenation to the IRS. You do need to keep the forms with your tax returns. 

if you are filing by mail ,You would only need to mail the form if it showing any tax withheld. Other you are not required to mail it, only W-2s and 1099Rs are required.

Please note: If there are State withholdings, then you will have to include it with your other tax documents when mailing to State.
