Do I combine the 2 SSA-1099 amounts that I received, since I couldn't find where TurboTax allows me to add the second SSA-1099?

Box 8: Claim Number refers to my SS# on one SSA-1099 and the 2nd one has my late husband's SS#.

If you are filing as Married Filing Jointly there are columns, by Name, where you enter the amount from Box 5 of your SSA-1099.  You Cannot combine the amounts from a SSA-1099 if the Social Security numbers are different on each SSA-1099.

To enter Social Security benefits reported on form SSA-1099

• Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
• Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
• Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
• Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
• On Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099), click the start or update button

Or enter ssa-1099 in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to ssa-1099

Please clarify your situation:

1. If he passed in 2022, he should still be reported on your joint tax return.
   1. See @DoninGA post to enter the other SSA-1099
2. Did you inform the Social Security Administration that he had passed?
3. Any survivor benefit should be going to you on your Social Security number.
