Do I claim dividends on Roth Ira / Traditional IRA

I did not contribute to either our Roth IRA or traditional IRA, do I need to claim the benefits that I received in 2016?

You report on an IRA only when you put something in or take something out. Activity that happens within an IRA, such as dividends or interest does not get reported.
