It won't even allow me to get to the contributions interview. I spoke to Turbo Tax technical assistance. At first, the guy didn't believe me and I had to refer him to the IRS publication. He then said that the software wasn't yet updated with all of the new tax regs.
This has nothing to do with "new regulations" or the interview.
Enter IRA contributions here:
Federal Taxes,
Deductions & Credits,
I’ll choose what I work on (if that screen comes up),
Retirement & Investments,
Traditional & Roth IRA contribution.
OR Use the "Tools" menu (if online version under My Account) and then "Search Topics" for "ira contributions" which will take you to the same place.
i have the same problem using home and office
the problem has not been corrected as of this date

What is the problem. Entering IRA contribution in the IRA Contribution interview works fine for over 70 1/2. It is only the "estimating" tool that does not.
Yes, but Turbotax doesn't care. They think you should not have the deductuction and won't allow it.
Actually, they won't. They ignore it.
