Credit for retirement savings contributions

I did contribute to an employer sponsored 401k account but under this credit Turbotax says i made $0 in regular elective contributions, how is this determined?

Credit for retirement savings contributions

The 401K contribution is already taken into account when you enter the W-2 for the saver's credit.

The elective contributions would be if you did an IRA and had a contribution.  If you made an IRA contribution, then there would be a dollar amount here.
