Conversion to Roth: Form 8606 seems to be incorrect; Line 4b is also incorrect

My husband and I  both contributed 8000 to Traditional IRAs and converted both ( mine is a spousal IRA which I've never done before due to loss of job). However, for each of us there was a balance in Trad IRA at end 2024 because there was residual interest.

There are 2 problems:

1. My interest is correctly being taxed. My husband's is not. (not a major issue)

2. Primary issue: Our 8606s are different and should not be. I am concerned this will affect us in the future because TT seems to think there was a balance (basis) left for my husband (not correct) but for me there is not one (correct).

I will contrast our 8606s for 2025 v. 2024 to show the discrepancy. Amounts should be the same for both years.

Our 2015 8606s look different (mine vs. husbands)

8606 line 1, 2025 contributions, show 0 for me (but it should be 8000) and 8000 for spouse.

8606 line 2, total basis shows 8000 for me (which seems incorrect) but for my husband's shows 8000, which is incorrect because we have always converted to Roth.

8606 line 5, shows  8 K for me (which is correct) ,16K for husband  (which is not correct).  It seems to think we had 8K not converted from previous years (not true)

For 2024 8606, we show correct numbers for each of us:

Line 1 8000 contribution

Line 2 Zero basis

I need for the 2025 calculation to work the same as for 2024.

Please advise on what I have done incorrectly in TT.

I found the IRA contribution worksheet. Somehow it was showing I contributed to a Roth.

When I moved the value to Traditional, it worked.

BUT all answers to questions were the same for me and husband. Maybe it was holding onto incorrect answers from my first try.

The questions asked on this version of TT are all tangled in the deduction. Clearly I have no deduction and I don't know why I had to answer so many questions. Also the value of Roth. It is irrelevant. So confusing.

So I have manually fixed the issue by changing the IRA Contribution Worksheet

This had been a very taxing experience. The old version of TT was beautiful.

I noticed the IRA Worksheet was incorrect too.  So  many errors I wonder how to start over.

The ira worksheet says I contributed to Roth but my husband didn't. Neither of us contributed directly to a Roth
