Can we withdraw more than our excess contribution?

My wife made an excess contribution to her ROTH IRA in 2020 based on our MAGI married filing jointly. Our problem is, we don't know the exact amount, just that there's an excess and a ballpark figure. I own a share of a business and am still waiting for the K-1, which should figure into our MAGI. I am worried that we won't get it until it's too late to take the excess out of the ROTH (they do this every year, I have gotten the K-1 a day or two before the filing deadline every year...infuriating, I know). I know we can file an extension, but let's assume I don't want to do that. Can I add in a little extra to what we take out of the ROTH IRA (our excess was $2000ish, let's say we up that to $2100 to account for any addition to the MAGI from the K-1, which should be small) so we can get the new 1099-R ahead of time? Would there be any downside to doing that?

Assuming you are able to take distributions from the IRA without penalty, based on having the funds in the account for five years and you are old enough to take normal distributions, I don't see a downside to taking out more than what you are required to. The additional distributions won't be taxed or subject to a penalty.
