Can I deduct county taxes paid on my year end statement on my house? I didn't get a 1098, but I got a year end statement and the taxes come from my monthly contributions.
I make monthly mortgage payments and I think the county tax is paid automatically from escrow, but I'm not sure.

No, you deduct the taxes when the county is paid from escrow, not when you pay into the escrow account. (Money in escrow is still technically "your" money until it is paid out to the county.)
