Block 7 on the Mortgage Interest Statement does not have a check but does have a narrative statement in the block Is that the same as a check?

When entering information from the Mortgage Interest Statement Turbo Tax asked, "is there a check in block 7?" There is no check mark, but there is a narrative statement that refers to the address contained in block 8. Is that the same as a check mark? So do I say yes or no.

If box 7 of form 1098 is unchecked and box 8 contains an address, then in TurboTax leave box 7 unchecked (answer N0 to the question) and enter the address in box 8.

If the address in box 8 is your principal residence or your second home, you can claim mortgage interest reported on your form 1098.
