Although I qualify for Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions & Repayments, I do not want to take advantage. Why must I file by mail and not e-file?

That form is not supported by TurboTax for efile. It can be printed and mailed in.

If you do not want to take advantage of this, you will need to delete this in your return and then try to efile again. Here is how:

  • Federal
  • Income & Wages
  • Retirement Plans and Social Security
  • IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)...revisit
  • Edit the 1099R
  • Go through and change your answer to the questions about Qualified Disaster Relief

If you have other questions about this, ask in the comment section below.
