good day, I am in the process of filing my 2020 tax return but it did not give me an option to add my 401k contribution.

You only enter a 401K from your W2, nowhere else.  It is not an IRA.   Or is it for a self employed business?

You do not enter the 401k contribution separately on your tax return. The 401k contribution is on your W-2 in box 12 and all you have to do is enter your W-2.

1. Login to your TurboTax Account 
2. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “W-2”
3. Click on “Jump to W-2”
