I entered my 2024 Long Term Care premiums on my medical deductions as I have in the past. However, when the New York State income taxes are calculated, the 20% tax credit is not being applied. When prompted to enter them on the New York Tax section, (Long Term Care Insurance Premiums Paid in 2024) it does not allow any entry. I've had this issue in the past and I spoke with a help agent (without a cost)
and the bug was fixed the next day as the agent said the federal tax long term care entry in the medical deduction section was not being carried over to the New York State tax credit section so the 20% credit could be applied.
How do I report this bug again without having to pay to speak with an agent?

This does not appear to be an error in TurboTax. Although the NY Long Term Care Premiums deduction is 20%, there is a $1,500 limit and this is a non-refundable credit. Also, if your income is greater than $250,000, you are not eligible for the credit. Since this is a non-refundable credit, if you did not have any NY tax liability, you would not see a benefit from this credit for the current tax year.
