Lots of Floridians were hit with Helene and Milton 2 weeks apart. The current Turbotax (2024 filing) 8915-F only allows for one disaster code, when a lot of us were hit by 2. In prior years Turbotax has NOT updated the forms to allow for multiple disasters, but rather instructed users to change forms manually and file by paper.
Is that going to be the same for 2024? Is Turbotax NOT going to update 8915-F? If so, need to know so I can file manually rather than hanging on and waiting for something that won't happen.

Form 8915-F has been updated and available for Efile. If you're using TurboTax Online, be sure to clear your Cache and Cookies before returning to this section. You can report up to six disaster codes on Form 8915-F.
If you're using TurboTax Desktop, in Forms mode, you can Open Form 8915-F and manually enter your disaster codes, for up to six.
Thanks! But it won't let me enter anything into the edit box.
This form is not available for edits to add additional disaster declarations. Please advise if or when this will be fixed. This is the last issue I need resolved to file my taxes.
I decided not to wait. Went ahead and filled out the 8915-F manually via a PDF form, then edited the Turbotax 1040 in acrobat to get all the numbers corrected. Printed and submitted via paper. Of course this means I will probably have to submit on paper for the next two years as well. Oh, and BTW, we got hit with 3 Qualified disasters last year allowing $22k withdrawal per disaster with only declaring 1/3 in each filing year over 3 years. If this keeps us, will need college level calculus to file taxes over the next couple of years!
Being in Texas I completely understand. Calculus is absolutely right if this keeps up. I might start on the excel modeling for it now.
