I did not mail in the 1099 misc forms for two guys that worked for me and are now currently in jail. Am I able to still report that on my taxes or submit paperwork?? This is my first year using subcontractors and the total income would be about 7500 for last year

You can still submit the 1099 Misc forms and report the expense on your tax return.

Please follow the instructions below to get into the website to prepare your forms.

1. Click on Business

2. Select I'll choose what I work on (there may be a continue button before this)

3. Click on Start/Edit next to Profit or Loss from Business

4. Click Edit next to the business you want to prepare the forms for

5. Click Start/Edit next to Other Common Business Expenses

6. Click Start/Edit next to Contract Labor

7. On this screen, there should be a Start Here link that will connect you to Quick Employer Forms

8. If you have to login when you get there, make sure you are using the same username and password as TurboTax Online

When you start a new return in TurboTax Desktop, you have the option to create forms instead of starting a return.  That should bring you to the Quick Employer Forms website.

If you claim that as expenses, you should file the 1099 information.
