1099-NEC

I enter my two NECs in the appropriate place, but their total does not appear in the master page (of income).

The figures appear in Schedule C, however.

The issue appears to be with one of my entries. When filling in the basic info, the box for My boxes for 7-14 contains information (or something like that) is automatically checked. There are no entries, so I click it off, continue with the process.

Still nothing registers on the master page.

I open up the settings for that entry, and the box is again checked, even though I unchecked it.

I think this is the base of the issue.

1099-NEC

Do you believe that the income is correctly reported as income to the self-employment activity reported on Schedule C Profit or Loss From Business?

I recommend entering the IRS form 1099-NEC directly into the self-employment activity.  In TurboTax Premium Online, I would follow these steps:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
  • Down the left side of the screen, click Wages & Income.
  • Click on the drop down arrow to the right of Self-employment.
  • Click to the right of Self-employment income and expenses.
  • At the screen Your 2024 self-employed work summary, select Edit.
  • At the screen Here's your info, select Add income for this work.
  • Select Form 1099-NEC.
