Just wanted to comment again for those who are still waiting and wondering. Everyone's situation is different. Until this past Monday I had nothing but a million unanswered questions. I've read hundreds of comments and seen practically every scenario, people getting their money quickly, the wrong amount, more than what they're supposed to, etc. I didn't update on the first day (Wed 15th), I didn't get through til Saturday morning three days later (18th) and finally got a message early Monday the 27th. I've heard Thursday is the cut off for the next week to get your payment, no idea if that's true but mine is still set for tomorrow. I've heard people get them a day or two before the date, and people still waiting days after their deposit date, or ended up with a check. I don't think DD is going by income, I think it's the paper checks their doing that for. The IRS came out n said they're aware of the issues, it's not an exact science plus being understaffed cause of the virus. It makes sense why there's problems, and TurboTax has been little to no help. I know the feeling of being hopeless and I truly hope everyone has good luck or finds answers for their individual issues. After I finally put my info correctly on the IRS site, I was trying to get an update once a day and kept getting error messages. The difference was me typing"Street" instead of"St". That would get you errors and locked out for a whole day which is awful. Idk if they are fixing it, but I know they're doing updates because it wasn't until after I got my DD date. It's supposed to be tomorrow, I've seen tons of scenarios of people getting it on/before or not at all so I'm still slightly wondering if, but I'm not going to give up hope the day before because of others situations so please anyone reading this don't lose hope. I've heard "it's coming" 100 times n was in total disbelief after getting zero answers until a couple days ago and heard every story good and bad. It's horrible people who are receiving more than they're supposed, some even getting millions, and people who are not alive anymore. It's crazy. But keep trying,if you can download your 1040 from your tax return, check and recheck your numbers/letters exactly how it shows. Keep asking for help, I found alot of answers on here and other sites to some of my questions and concerns. I truly wish everyone struggling n losing faith the best possible outcome to these issues. I've only ever used TurboTax since I became an adult and I don't plan on it even though I say it every year, this year I mean it because so many people have been hung out to dry and TT just basically shrugged it off.
